Who: Taught by Sarah Ahearn Bellemare and Molly Hatch
When: October 18-20, 2013
Where: Northampton, a fun and lively little college town in Western Massachusetts, Sarah and Molly’s hometown
How: Sign-up for your spot in the workshop HERE!

How much does the workshop cost and what will it include?
The cost of the weekend workshop is $375.00 which includes 2 days with Molly and Sarah as they teach you their favorite techniques for working with paint and mixed media, AND invite you into their home studios (!) so you can get a peek behind the scenes at how they do what they do. Participants will also be provided with all of the art materials that you will need over the weekend to create. But wait, there’s more!
The cost also includes a festive gathering on Friday evening with snacks, drinks, a warm-up craft activity AND a “swag bag” of goodies just for you. We will also provide 3 meals throughout the week (Saturday and Sunday light breakfast, as well as Saturday boxed lunch). The $375.00 does not include accommodations, but there are lots of options in and around this wonderful little city of ours!

What is the schedule for the weekend?
It’s going to be SO much fun! Here’s a peek at the itinerary:

Friday- 6-8pm (optional) – meet at Essentials, our favorite little artsy shop in downtown Northampton for an evening gathering with drinks, snacks, and a craft activity.

Saturday – 8:30 am meet at the Nonotuck School: a beautiful old school building with hardwood floors and big windows- it will be our inspiring space for Saturday’s art making workshop. Molly and Sarah will show you their favorite techniques and lead and support you in your own art-making throughout the day. We’ll provide coffee/tea and breakfast to fuel your creativity and at 12 noon we’ll break for a delicious boxed lunch. Class will end at 4pm with an optional casual dinner out on the town with Sarah and Molly at 7pm. We want to leave time for you to relax a bit and get a chance to explore and shop in Northampton, it’s really inspiring!

Sunday- 10am-3pm
Studio tours! We’ll begin at Sarah’s studio right near downtown with light breakfast provided. We’ll then make our way to Molly’s studio nearby. Then we’ll gather for a “how we do what we do” conversational lunch (location TBA) where you will have a chance to ask questions of Molly and Sarah and enjoy the creative company. The workshop will formally end at 3 pm.

We’d love for you to join us for the gatherings on both Friday evening and Sunday afternoon, but we recognize that travel schedules might not permit this, so those two events are optional.

You can read the itinerary in a bit more detail on our main blog page.

What if I am not an experienced artist or craftsperson but a big fan of Sarah or Molly’s work? Come along and enjoy the weekend! We’d love to have you! This is a fun, low pressure weekend, any projects we do will be casual and geared toward all skill levels.
